A blend Stonier’s top Chardonnay vineyards (these are also used in the Stonier label blend), typically built around the KBS vineyard, with other single release vineyards making up the balance. Each vineyard component for the Reserve, as well as for the single vineyard Chardonnays, is whole bunch pressed with separation of pressings if needed, with no enzyme addition, and fermented in mostly puncheons.
A blend of KBS (50%), Thompson (25%) and equal portions of Lyncroft and Jimjoca vineyards (12.5% each). Each component was fermented in puncheons (25% new, with balance in 2 to 4 year old barrels). Almost 70% of components were allowed to undergo MLF. Blended together after 7 months and put back to the same barrels for a further month.
